It's like insurance for your Laptop....The AC power pin where your charging cable connects is very fragile and weak.
The cumulative or incremental damage from day-to-day tugging and pulling and jerking on the power cable causes these types of problems.
We have the following type of connector for either your USB/Modem Jack/or Network Jack.
1. Install the appropriate PART B (Below) in an unused USB or RJ11 (Modem) or RJ45 (Network) port near the AC power connector plug on your computer. IMPORTANT NOTE: RJ11 & RJ45 are positive lock ports and are the preferred ports to use. USB ports are not positive lock. USB ports rely on friction and as such should be your last choice.

2. With the AC power cable connected to the computer, slide Part A over your AC power cable, leaving a little slack between the Retention Device (part B) and the AC power plug on your computer.

3. Push Part A onto Part B engaging the locking teeth. Engage enough teeth to apply firm pressure on the cable to keep power cable from moving.

LAST . . Stop worrying about accidentally jerking the AC power Cord.
